Are you #content or do you feel #entitled to everything your heart desires? Join @CompassCatholic as we discuss entitlement. In the second half of the show, we’ll talk about God Marriage & Money – the Compass Catholic book to help engaged couples talk about #finances before the wedding.
Entitlement - if we feel we deserve everything then we have an issue, we need to learn to be content. Think about it…contentment is the complete opposite of entitlement.
In the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People book by Stephen Covey, he writes that often our focus is taken away from the abundance we do have and we focus on the things that we don’t have. It’s called aScarcity Mentality…
People with a Scarcity Mentality have a very difficult time sharing recognition, credit, power or profit, even with the people who help produce those things. They also have a very hard time being genuinely happy for the success of other people.
People with an Abundance Mentality have a deep inner sense of personal worth and security. Their paradigm is that there is plenty out there and enough to spare for everybody. This results in sharing of prestige, recognition, profits, and decision making.
Which mentality do you have?
